QIRAAT COMPETITION 2020

It is said that Prophet Mohammed once spoke, "When the month of Ramadan starts,
the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are
chained."
Ramadan is a Holy month for Muslims where they fast during the daylight. EFIA has
given unique  importance for Ramadan Kareem.
To honor this Holy Month of Ramadan, Islamic department organized an online
‘QIRAAT  COMPETITION’ for the students from grade 6 to 12. The competition was
held on 12th of May for the students of grade 6 to 8 and on the 14th of May for the
students from grade 9 to 12.
We had 29 participants from grade 6 to 8 and 27 participants from grade 9 to 12. We
had wonderful reciters who really put in their efforts. Competition was started with
Quran recitation by Mr. Zawar Ahmed. Vice Principal Ms. Raufia Shiburaj addressed
the gathering and encouraged the participants on 12 th May. Ms. Ani Saji (Senior
Supervisor) inspired the students with her polite speech on 14 th May.
Event remained very successful as all students and their parents were very happy and
look desirous for such events. Parents appreciated the work of Islamic department as
well as the school management. It was really a very splendid event Alhamdullilah.
