“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart”
We celebrate Teachers’ day every year on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India. The great academic philosopher, and one of the most well known diplomats, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teachers" day.
This year Teacher"s Day was celebrated in a very different way in our school. The students of classes XI and XII along with Student council had planned the day in such a manner that there was never a dull moment. There were number of games conducted, dance, prize distribution, cake cutting whilst the primary head boy and head girl were involved to speak a few words, emphasizing the involvement of primary section student council participation for the event.
Five staffs were been honored with a medal for 100% attendance for the academic year 2018-19. Soon after the event got over, there was a photo session, followed by refreshments and cake distribution for teachers’ in the conference room.
We decided that, the responsibility of teaching is taken up by the students as an appreciation for their teachers. As per the Indian culture, we always start our work with prayer. Total number of participates in teacher’s day are 45 Students, has prepared timetable of teachers and went to smaller classes from grade 1 to 8 and taught various subjects for the first three periods from 08:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. All participated students were appreciated by Principal. On this day, our teaching was started as usual on 10:30 a.m.
The event was celebrated as a token of respect and appreciation for the teachers and also to let the teachers know that they are being recognized as the reason for success in every individual"s life.
